Batik

Batik is a method of creating a design, usually on cloth, by applying wax to portions of the material and then dyeing it, then removing the wax.

Students used glue to draw their design on muslin. Once the glue was dry, the fabric was painted with tempera paint. Students then washed the fabric in hot water, removing the glue and revealing their design.
